Abigale Lee
Mills (born September 21 1965) was a American dance instructor, choreographer,
and reality television host. Abby Lee Dance Company is her creation, which was
on for eight seasons of Dance Moms. Miller admitted guilt on June 27, 2016 to
the charge of felony bankruptcy fraud. Miller was sentenced on June 27 the 27th
of June, 2016 to a year and one day in federal prison. She was released the
27th of March of 2018. In April of 2018 she was diagnosed with lymphoma. the
type of cancer that left her unable to walk. In order to move about she uses
wheelchair. Miller was born in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania. She was a dancer and
was a student under her mother at Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio. Miller aged 14
at the time, was given choreography and instruction of one of her mother’s
dance teams. Miller eventually assumed control of the company, changing its
name to Reign Dance Productions. Miller became certified by Dance Masters of
America and was a member of Dance Masters of Pennsylvania Chapter #10 in 1986,
but her membership was cut off in February 2012, with DMA saying Miller's
reality-TV show Dance Moms was "a total misrepresentation of our dance
teachers and their students and is negative for the dance profession."
